T-Money Travel Card Information (Differences from T-Money, T-Money Travel Card Plus)
Hello! I’m Guide H.
I recently visited Incheon Airport after a long time.
I discovered a card at a convenience store that I hadn’t seen before.

It’s called ‘T-Money Travel Card’
There are already many cards for foreigners, which can be confusing, and it seems like another new one has appeared.
However, after researching, I found that it could be a good benefit for some travelers.
Let’s learn about the T-Money Travel Card.
T-Money VS T-Money Travel Card

If you’re traveling to Korea, you’re probably familiar with T-Money cards.
T-Money offers discounts when boarding and transferring on public transportation.
Most importantly, there are cases where cash is not accepted, so it’s often essential.
So, what is a T-Money Travel Card?
This card is exclusively for foreigners and provides T-Money functionality plus the ability to receive discounts at affiliated merchants.
Simply put, think of it as T-Money + an affiliated merchant discount card.

Which is Better: T-Money Travel Card or T-Money?

Many people wonder which to choose between T-Money Travel Card and regular T-Money card. To put it simply, you should choose based on your travel style and needs.
T-Money Travel Card is exclusively for foreigners and offers basic T-Money transportation card functionality plus various discount benefits and coupons at affiliated merchants. If you plan to visit many major tourist attractions (e.g., Doota Mall, theme parks, tourist spots) and make good use of these benefits, the Travel Card may be more advantageous. The price is 4,000 KRW.
T-Money card focuses on the core transportation card functionality. It’s widely usable and convenient for public transportation (subway, buses, some taxis) without additional benefits. If you already have other discount cards or coupons, or simply want to use transportation conveniently, choosing a regular T-Money card is hassle-free.
However, considering that regular T-Money cards cost 3,000 KRW and up to 5,000 KRW depending on the design, the price difference isn’t significant, so purchasing a T-Money Travel Card is also a good option.
What is T-Money Travel Card Plus (TTC+)?

When you see T-Money Travel Card, you may notice cards with "Plus" attached.
T-Money Travel Card Plus (TTC+) is a new product launched in November 2025, combining the prepaid IC card ‘Wowpass’ with T-Money ‘Travel Card’. Think of it as an all-in-one card that enables transportation card, currency exchange, and IC payment all in one card.
